rinse the collar thoroughly every 2 or so weeks under warm water, scrubbing with a nail brush if necessary, (do NOT use soap or other chemicals.) Then leave to dry in the sun, (the sun helps to regenerate the microbes.) It is very important to keep the beads clean. The collar can be worn when swimming, but not in chlorine-treated water. If you are using any other product on your dog make sure that it does not come in contact with the beads. The EM collar is not strong enough to be used as a collar for a lead, so please do not attach one. There is no 100% guarantee with EM collars or any other tick product, you should always check your dog and yourself after a nature walk. These products are safe for children, but do not let them put them in their mouths.
